Who We Are

First Southern Baptist Church of Glendale is an evangelical, Bible-believing church affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. We are people from every season of life: young families, college students, singles, empty-nesters, and seniors, all united by faith in Jesus Christ.

What We Believe

We hold to the historic Christian faith as expressed in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. In short, we believe:

• The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and our final authority.
• There is one true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, who died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and is coming again.
• Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
• The local church is a covenant community of baptized believers under the lordship of Christ.

Our Mission

Worship Jesus. Live the Bible. Reach everyone. That mission shapes everything we do, from Sunday morning worship to weekday ministries and outreach across the West Valley.
